From a young age, and long before she picked up her first disposable camera, Monique Bianca was drawn to the romance and nostalgia found in everyday life. Her early fascination with imagery naturally evolved into documenting her own love story while exploring San Francisco and the California coast. What began as a personal expression of her relationship soon became a way to tell the stories of hundreds of other couples. Monique’s spontaneity and curiosity in her personal life flow into many aspects of her photography, which blends photojournalism with a clean, editorial feel. Shooting on both film and digital, her imagery feels whimsical, cinematic, and delicate.
